In this section, we would like to recommend the two classical books from ancient times, The ten books on architecture, by Vitrubius, and De Aquaeductu Urbis Roma, by Frontinus
On modern scholars, we have some recommendation; the excelent book by Peter J. Aicher, Guide to the Aqueducts of Ancient Rome, as it is in this city were more aqueducts could be found in ancient times. Also a distinguised book is Building of the Roman aqueducts by Esther Bois van Deman, as well as the book of prof. dr. A. Th. Hodge: Roman aqueducts and water supply. Finally, The aqueducts of ancient Rome, by dr. Thomas Ashby
